"This piece is based on a heavily time-stretched and processed version of the Italian partisan anthem Bella Ciao. I'd had the idea of using it for a long time so while reading Malatesta (and about how he was effectively killed by Mussolini's fascists) I decided to jump straight in. It was originally going to form part two of our Things As They Are series but it uses so many of my Slow Notes approaches (improv, minimal setup/processes) that I've decided to put it out now. A little anti-fascist sentiment is useful any time but particularly now. As ever, proceeds to Unity Centre Glasgow. Mastered by the good folks at Black & Red Mastering."
